Jury convicts Nicole Linton in 2022 La Brea Crash
Last week, a Los Angeles jury convicted Nicole Linton of murder.
You may recall, Linton was the driver responsible for the horrific crash in Windsor Hills in 2022. The crash made national news, and at the time, we discussed some of the legal issues here.
Linton is facing a life sentence and the court will sentence her in December.
Prosecutors argued that Linton was angry and frustrated, so she willingly and in full control of her faculties sped up to 130 miles per hour, ran a red light, and plowed through the busy intersection. Six people were killed, and the collision was recorded by a nearby gas station’s surveillance cameras.
Linton’s defense was that she was suffering a seizure and was not in control when she caused the fatal collision.
The jury agreed with the prosecutors.
Last week’s verdict brings the 4-year-legal saga to a conclusion. The La Brea crash truly was a tragedy.
